Alaska + Colorado Based Freelance Photographer
Documenting Outdoor Adventure Lifestyles.
Official Iditarod Photographer.
Siri Raitto is a photographer and creative based between Alaska and Colorado, focused on documenting outdoor adventure lifestyles and the culture of dog mushing. Raised between Salcha, Tok, and Homer Alaska, her life has long been shaped by sled dogs, a deep-rooted Alaskan lifestyle through hunting and subsistence fishing on the Yukon River, and time spent outdoors – an upbringing that naturally informs her approach to visual storytelling.
She grew up caring for, training, and racing sled dogs, developing a deep respect for the sport and the people who carry it forward. That foundation continues to guide her work today, both behind the camera and within the mushing community.
Now working full time as a freelance photographer, Siri documents dog mushing from the inside while also producing editorial and commercial work for outdoor brands. She also teaches photography courses periodically, sharing field-based experience and storytelling practices with emerging photographers. She has served as one of two official photographers for the 1,000 mile sled dog race, the Iditarod, since 2020.
